What Can You Do on a Paddle Board? 

If there’s any new water activity that you’ve got to try, it is paddle boarding. This one’s not as extreme as surfing, but it’s fairly close to that. At least the paddle board looks like a surfboard only it’s leveled. These boards are mostly used on lakes but there’s no stopping you from conquering the oceans with it too. 

Using a paddle board is also sometimes referred to as standup paddle boarding. You get to stand, kneel, or sit on top of the board and paddle your way over the water. It’s just like kayaking but with a board instead of a kayak.  

Paddle Board Techniques  

Even if this is the first time you’re going to try to use a paddle board, you’re going to enjoy it. You can do a lot of things on it, which means you won’t get bored while using it. 1. Paddle while kneeling 

If you’re not that confident to stand up on a paddle board, then don’t push it. Kneeling is a good enough position. You just have to find a spot where you’re comfortable so you’ll enjoy treading the waters in that position long enough.  

2. Lay down on it.  

If you don’t want to do anything on your paddle board, then just lie on it all day. Lie down and just let the current take you where it wants to. Paddle boards are used in calm bodies of water so there shouldn’t be any threat to you when you do this.  

3. Paddle standing up  

If you consider yourself an expert in paddle boarding, then you should be confident enough to stand up while doing some paddling. This is actually what the paddle board is used for. Many people paddle board for fitness because the position allows them to work out their upper body, legs, feet, and core muscles.  

4. Yoga  

If you get really good at paddle boarding then standing up on it isn’t the only thing that you can do. You can certainly do some yoga poses on top of it while you’re at it. As a matter of fact, there are yoga classed offered this way.  

5. Take on the ocean  

If the lake seems too serene for you now that you’re a paddle board expert, then it may be time to take your hobby a notch higher. Go take the board on the ocean and catch some waves with it. This is going to be way different than doing it on the lake so you should be very wary of the changes.  

6. Take on the river.  

Aside from oceans, paddle boarding can be done on rivers as well. Take this as a sort of a level three challenge for you. Rivers are way more difficult than oceans because the current is stronger. This adventure is only advised to people who are really good swimmers and are experts on paddle boarding.
